Club rules

Club rules

  1. A valid membership must be held at all times and presented to the bailiff upon request.
  2. Minimum 42 inch landing net.
  3. ALL RUBBISH TO BE TAKEN HOME.
  4. No fishing the Resevoir due to steep banks.
  5. No driving past carpark onto our lakes under any circumstance!
  6. Fishing from recognised swims or pegs.
  7. Maximum 2 rods per angler.
  8. All fish to be carefully handled and returned to the water safely.
  9. Barbed hooks and micro barbed hooks only.
  10. Use of drones by members is banned on all Society waters.
  11. No loud radios, fires or barbecues (portable stoves excepted)
  12. No Nuts of any kind.
  13. All Junior and Intermediate Members must be accompanied by an Adult Member at all times.
  14. No rods to be left unattended for any reason - rods must be removed from water if leaving swim.
  15. No fixed or bolt rigs, no braid mainline. rig tubing must be used when fishing with leads and must be at least 12 inches in length.
  16. Maximum line strength of 15lb to be used.
  17. Where a lock or gate is provided, members must ensure they are secured or closed behind them when entering or leaving the fishery.
  18. No transferring of fish between the lakes (except at the discretion of the Committee). Fish not to be held above knee height at any time.
  19. No sacking or retention of fish, but the use of a flotation retaining sling is permitted. Please take extra care during low water levels.
  20. All wildlife to be given full consideration at all times
  21. The Society accepts no responsibility for injury, death, loss, damage or theft to persons, cars or equipment whilst on the fishery and reserve the right to close all or parts of any fishery at any time.
  22. No cutting of any bankside vegetation, shrubs, trees etc. or alteration to any swims without the prior consent of the Committee.
  23. The Head Bailiff may appoint Assistant Bailiffs subject to Committee approval.
  24. Bailiffs have the right to inspect tackle and bait being used.
  25. Society members are not allowed to take any non-members onto Society waters without prior permission from the Committee or the Head Bailiff.
  26. Abusive behaviour will not be tolerated - membership will be instantly revoked and a lifetime ban implemented.
  27. A fish care kit must be carried whilst fishing all waters 
  28. No bait boats
